Kylian Mbappe Accused of Assault: Lawyer Defends His Innocence
Kylian Mbappe is facing serious allegations after being accused of “rape and sexual assault” in Stockholm. Swedish media outlets, including Aftonbladet and Expressen, reported that the Real Madrid star is under investigation by Swedish police for an incident that allegedly took place last week. However, Mbappe has swiftly denied the accusations, claiming he is a victim of media manipulation.
“The Report Proves Nothing”
Shortly after the reports surfaced, Mbappe’s lawyer, Marie Alix Canu Bernard, addressed the claims, stating that the report does not hold any weight. Speaking on French TV channel TF1, she said, “They talk about a report, but they don’t even know who it’s against. The report isn’t valid, it proves nothing, and I’m not sure it’s even about Kylian.”
Bernard further emphasized that Mbappe, who is 25 years old, did nothing wrong. “At no point during the evening was he alone or in any situation that could expose him to risk. It’s absolutely certain that he didn’t act improperly,” she added.
“He’s Never Alone”
In an interview with Le Parisien, Bernard elaborated on Mbappe’s behavior, noting that he is rarely ever alone in public settings. “I won’t go into details, but aside from the most private moments, he is never by himself. He doesn’t go out alone, he doesn’t return home alone, and when he’s with company, there’s always someone nearby.”
Despite the gravity of the situation, Bernard assured that Mbappe remains calm and is fully prepared to cooperate with Swedish authorities if necessary. “If required, he would of course appear before them. But he is completely at ease and even went to training today,” she said on Tuesday.
She also confirmed that Mbappe plans to file a police report for “false accusations,” making it clear that he intends to fight back. “We will not leave this unanswered,” Bernard stated firmly.
The accusations have added to the media frenzy surrounding Mbappe, but his legal team remains confident in clearing his name.
