Red Roses Partner with Crew Clothing as Official Formalwear Outfitter

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has announced an exciting new partnership with Crew Clothing, naming the British lifestyle brand as the official formalwear outfitter for the Red Roses, England’s women’s rugby team. This marks the first time that such a partnership has been exclusively dedicated to the women’s team, highlighting the growing prominence of women’s rugby.

As part of this collaboration, Crew Clothing will design and provide formal outfits for the entire Red Roses playing squad and non-playing staff for all official events and appearances. The team will debut their new attire during the 2024 Guinness Women’s Six Nations, with the outfits expected to blend modern style with the timeless quality that Crew Clothing is known for.

Crew Clothing joins other prestigious sports organizations like Exeter Chiefs, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), Williams Racing, and the Henley Royal Regatta in partnering with the brand. Founded in 1993 in a small windsurfing shop in Devon, Crew Clothing has grown into a well-known name in British fashion, known for its classic and contemporary designs.

As the Red Roses prepare to defend their WXV 1 title, which kicks off in Canada later this month, the team is also gearing up for warm-up matches against France and New Zealand. Their first match is set for Kingsholm Stadium this Saturday, followed by a clash with New Zealand at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium on September 14th, before heading to Canada.

With six consecutive Women’s Six Nations titles under their belt and a strong lead in the World Rugby Women’s Rankings, the Red Roses are favorites to win the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, which will be hosted in England.

Alex Teasdale, RFU Executive Director of the Women’s Game, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are really looking forward to working with Crew Clothing as a Red Roses partner – the first Women’s game standalone partner. We’re proud that the Red Roses are galvanizing support and showing that women’s rugby is an attractive proposition for brands.”

Naomi Parry, Head of Marketing at Crew Clothing, added, “This partnership with the Red Roses reflects Crew’s unwavering commitment to supporting the best of British sport. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of the next phase in the Red Roses’ incredible journey.”

As women’s rugby continues to rise in popularity, this partnership is a testament to the Red Roses’ growing influence both on and off the field.
