Germany’s TKMS has reportedly made a new offer to Poland for the purchase of submarines in a “two plus two” format, according to information obtained by “Wyborcza.” This proposal includes the acquisition of two large conventional submarines along with two smaller, so-called mini-submarines.
Up until the end of June, preliminary market consultations were underway regarding Poland’s potential purchase of new submarines for its Navy. This is part of the “Orka” program, estimated to cost over 10 billion PLN. After these consultations concluded, the Technical Modernization Council met in July. This council is composed of representatives from various defense-related bodies, including the Armament Agency, the General Staff, and different departments of the Ministry of National Defense responsible for defense planning and military policy.
However, despite these discussions, no decisions have been made regarding the choice of manufacturer. The documents out
